European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform

ESPP, the European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform, promotes sustainable phosphorus management and nutrient recycling and in Europe. Our action particularly addresses the EU Critical raw Materials ‘Phosphate Rock’ and ‘Phosphorus’ (which means the specific form elemental P4 – white phosphorus) and the EU Green Deal and also UN Kunming Convention objective of reducing nutrient losses by -50%. ESPP is a not-for-profit association, funded by its 50+ members, who are a range of different industries (water and waste, fertilisers, chemicals, cement, recycling, services), knowledge institutes and public establishments. Our actions include stakeholder and inter-sectoral industry dialogue, networking, information dissemination (regular free eNews) and elaboration of joint proposals to policymakers.
