32 extraction rights / 26,3 km2 area in Eigersund, Rogaland County

54 exploration rights in southern Rogaland County, southwestern Norway.

Mining in the Eigersund project will entail extraction and production of three different mineral concentrates from which several EU CRM’s can be produced.

  • MRE3 by SRK: 4.5 billion tonnes – igneous phosphate rock. JORC compliant
  • NGU4 report 2022-009: 62 billion USD total value of in-situ minerals in the Bjerkreim area
  • Extensive drilling campaign: 86 kilometres of diamond drilling
  • SRK reports: the deposit has consistent grade profile
  • PFS results for initial area:
    • Production lifetime: 23 years
    • Average production: 20 million tonnes per year
    • Average concentrate per year: 3-4 million tonnes
    • Average residual resources per year: 16-17 million tonnes

CRMs

Magnetite

Welding

Our high-grade magnetite concentrates with high density and are especially well suited for heavy media separation and as a blend for steel production.

Technically the magnetite concentrate can be used to produce a EU CRM-critical raw material, Vanadium, high purity 98% V2O5 flake, suited for Vanadium redox flow batteries.

Phosphate

Batteries

Phosphate is widely used in agriculture, including in fertilisers for plant and food production. The use of phosphate fertilisers over the past century has increased crop yields and helped fight hunger worldwide.

Phosphate is also a key component in battery production – such as Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology – as the world moves away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy.

Ilmenite

Rocket

The Ilmenite contains titanium dioxide suitable for pigment production, and it is widely used as a white pigment in a variety of industries due to its exceptional brightness, opacity, and UV resistance.

It is commonly used in paint and many end products. Titanium dioxide is also evolving as battery anode material.

Drill Core Inspection

Our products

High quality mineral concentrates produced sustainably. From the apatite concentrate two EU CRM`s will be produced, high quality and low contaminant phosphate and phosphorus.

Phosphate with low contaminants and high quality.
Low cadmium values lead to cleaner products.

Sustaining world food supply

From our phosphate, wet phosphoric acid (WPA) can be created – a key component in the worldwide fertiliser industry. Phosphate-based fertilisers are essential for improving crop yields. Reliable, sustainable phosphate supply therefore supports global food security.

Powering green transport

Phosphate is also increasingly used in electric vehicle battery technology and stationary energy storage. Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP) are more environmentally friendly and cheaper than cobalt- and nickel-rich cathodes.

We need fertilisers, and we must protect the soil quality. If you use a bad phosphate source for fertilisers, they can contain heavy metals that accumulate and become poisonous. We also need to create a carbon neutral food value chain.”
