Alfred Münch is a highly experienced Attorney at Law and company adviser who currently works as an independent consultant advising start-up, growing and mid-sized companies. After training in law in Basel, he was admitted to the bar in 1988. He then began an executive career as a legal counsel, firstly at the pharmaceutical group Sandoz before moving to chemicals company Clariant International and then to the fashion brand Bally, where he held roles including Chief Administrative Officer. After a period of consultancy work, his next executive role, in 2005, was as a Partner at the wealth management business Treuco AG Zurich, where he focused on growing the legal services business including corporate, contract and commerical law, licensing and M&A transactions. In 2010, he returned to Clariant International as General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Member of the Executive Leadership Team. In this role, which he held until 2022, he was responsible for the group’s legal, insurance and compliance strategy and for intellectual property management. He was also an adviser to the Clariant board.
